BS1 Records was founded in Bristol, UK, in 1999 by Australian producer Davide Carbone. Established as an independent drum & bass label, BS1 has released music from artists including Davide Carbone and TC, alongside remixes and contributions from Decoder of Kosheen, Lomax of Loadstar, Blame, Markee Ledge, MC Jakes, Kubiks, Amaning and Heist. The label’s Studio page was an early and popular online source of authentic drum & bass samples created by BS1 artists. Today, BS1 Records continues to release forward-thinking electronic music while drawing on its drum & bass heritage.
DAVIDE CARBONE
Davide Carbone is an ARIA Award-winning Australian producer, composer and sound designer. Mixdown named Carbone among the seven most influential Australian music producers of all time, while FSOM - the pioneering electronic group Carbone founded - was included in Rolling Stone's list of the greatest Australian electronic acts of all time.
With a career spanning techno, drum & bass, electronica, film, television and games, Carbone has released music internationally, founded BS1 Records in Bristol and worked across record production, composition and sound design. He continues to produce and release music under his own name and aliases including Carbon Electra, FSOM and Calbesque.
